The Locum Register was created by a locum optometrist for practices and locums to find one another without the need for an agency. This is beneficial for practices so they can choose a locum directly and know who to expect on the day. The locum will also know who they will be working for and can enquire about specific details of the practice. It enables both parties to negotiate directly with regards dates, appointment times and fees.
Click “Register” along the top and enter some basic details. You will then be emailed a password. Return to the website and login by clicking “My Profile” and enter your additional details. The subscription to the website is only £24 (including VAT) for a full year (£2 per month). Secure payment can be made via PayPal by clicking the link in “My Profile”.
Please note that you may only request locum details if you are an optometry/optician practice owner or manager seeking a locum eye care professional.
